Your expertise in landscape architecture and agriculture will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of our estate's outdoor spaces.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a passion for creating breathtaking landscapes that complement the estate's unique charm.
Job Functions Landscape Design and Planning:
Collaborate with estate management and landscape designers to develop and execute landscape plans that align with the estate's vision and aesthetic preferences.
Create seasonal landscape design proposals, incorporating seasonal flowers, foliage, and decorations for various events and occasions.
Grounds Management:
Supervise a team of skilled landscapers and gardeners to maintain the estate's grounds, gardens, and outdoor amenities.
Oversee lawn care, planting, pruning, and irrigation to ensure the pristine condition of the estate's landscape at all times.
Plant Selection and Maintenance:
Select and source high-quality plants, trees, and shrubs suitable for the estate's climate and soil conditions.
Develop and implement a comprehensive plant care program, including fertilization, pest control, and disease management.
Hardscape Design and Maintenance:
Coordinate the installation and maintenance of hardscape elements, such as pathways, fountains, outdoor seating areas, and lighting fixtures.
Ensure that hardscape structures are safe, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Prepare and manage the landscaping budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources while maintaining the estate's high standards.
Source and procure landscaping materials, equipment, and plants from reputable suppliers.
Environmental Conservation:
Implement eco-friendly and sustainable landscaping practices to promote environmental conservation on the estate.
Incorporate water-efficient irrigation systems and other eco-conscious initiatives into the landscape management plan.
Seasonal Planning and Events:
Plan and execute seasonal landscape changes and decorations, such as holiday displays and seasonal flower installations.
Coordinate with the Events team to ensure the outdoor spaces are ready for various estate functions and gatherings.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in luxury estate landscaping and groundskeeping, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead a team of landscapers and groundskeepers effectively.
Proficiency in using landscaping tools, equipment, and computer software related to landscape design and management.
