As it grows it is in need of new positions to accommodate its growth.
This is an entirely new position that must be created and developed and requires a self-starter that is not only a critical thinker but, a person rooted in social justice.
We expect this position to have the ability to increase income and positions as the position is developed.
It can be expected to have a pay increase once the position has proven to become successful.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market, networking, donor development, fundraising and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential donors, businesses and volunteers, understanding their needs and skill.
Utilizing education and advocacy by providing tailored responses to increase support of the Transgender, Gender Non Conforming and Intersex Community.
- Conduct education presentations about services with demonstrations to showcase the valued allyship to meet the organizations goals, mission and vision and need to support the mission and vision of the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strong informational presentation to support the orgaization and encourage donor and advertising support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve financial, fundraising and volunteer targets to meet goals and expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities to meet goals in a changing enviroment.
- Utilize relationships to develop volunteer base to meet goals of the organization.
-Manage and maintain fundraising and event committees to meet desired goals and expectations.
Utilizing lived experiences to assist the organization in competative development.
-Ability to redress transphobic comments and behavior when educating, promoting and communicating to cisgender people about the organization.
Exercising a professional and positive skill to meet this objective.
Experience:
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably in the non-profit industry - Excellent negotiation and critical thinking skills with the ability to increase giving, and to achieve donation and fundraising goals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth - Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with businesses, donors and volunteers.
- Project management skills to handle multiple simultaneous tasks/committees and prioritize effectively.
Maintain and manage committees as chair to delegate tasks to meet goals and objectives in multiple regions.
-Lived or direct experience with the LGBTQ
community with a strong focus on the Transgender, Gender Non Conforming and Intersex community.
Preferably a minimum of 3 years.
-Ability to manage time effectively, motivate, create and manage committees for fundraising and events, to meet the orgainzations mission and goals.
