Summary:
Data Quality and Compliance Officer oversees and validates the data entered into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) by multiple programs' staff.
Conducts regular audits to ensure data accuracy, and corrects errors, ensures required monthly and periodic reporting to funder, and generates reports from HMIS data showing program performance.
Trains all users of HMIS, assists in program funder audits, internal audits and monitoring visits.
Essential Functions:
Ensures all required data fields are available in HMIS so that others can input required data.
Runs regular progress reports, and other reports as required; provided other needed information on request, reviews reports generated by HMIS Coordinates with program staff to ensure HMIS intake requirements are met Subject matter expert on HMIS, trains program staff on database Attends professional funder workshops and regular meetings Supports any technical and reporting issues related to HMIS system Support programs prior to funder audits and ensure all requirements are in place.
Track, resolve, and document continuous quality improvement issues.
Support program managers and supporting staff Communicate with funders to assist before, during, and after funder audits regarding HMIS related problems Ensure that all required program paperwork is completed and entered into the participant HMIS master file in a timely manner.

Minimum Education and Experience and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma required.
AA or Bachelor's degree preferred Bilingual preferred Other:
Fingerprint Clearance through DOJ or FBI and approved Class B License Skills:
Ability to work effectively with volunteers.
Thorough understanding of the organization's Vision, Mission and CREED.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people.
Team player willing to accept and promote organizational goals and function with minimal supervision.
Ability to make decisions based on education preparation and experience, which reflect consistency with organization philosophy, policies and procedures.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions.
Ability to accurately write and record incidents for the purpose of logging client incidents and progress reports.
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one to clients, groups of clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
